I love to look at Marchesa collections, because they are always pure frothy fantasy.

Accessories: Part III

Alright, here we go. Part III - bags (check out parts I and II). Quite possibly my favorite of the three (but really, how can you choose?!).

1. Finally, a clutch you can actually fit stuff in. Love the large size and texture of this one.
2. This sparkly bag would jazz up skinny cargo pants and a denim shirt nicely.
3. While I usually favor large bags (that I seem to lose everything in - which is part of the reason that I never answer my phone), I'm slowly being converted to the cross-body bag side. I love them. So easy to just sling over your shoulder and go.
4. I love that you can convert this into a shoulder bag with a slouchier look.
5. Um, a girl can dream

Accessories: Part II

My next batch of accessories (see Part I here) is all about shoes. For me, there are only two heel heights that matter when it comes to shoes: flat and super high. There's no in between in my closet. So here's what I'd like to have in my wardrobe:

1. I just bought a pair of TOMS (in red, no less) and they are super comfy. Plus, you're donating a pair to a child in need. Love when you can do good by shopping.
2. Minnetonkas are next on my list of "to-buy" shoes. I can already picture so many fall outfits they would go with.
3. Ballet flats are a staple of my wardrobe, and a pair in soft grey would be lovely.
4. Loeffler Randall makes the most drool-worthy boots
5. Black studded heels would complement skinny jeans and a nice top or add edge to a cocktail dress.
6. Nude sky-high heels are also make my most-wanted list. I could use the extra 5 inches these heels would provide.

For my style, I usually stick with casual, classic pieces in neutral colors. I choose to make accessories the focus of my outfits. In part one of my three-part accessory post (shoes and bags to come!), I'm covering all the lovely baubles and jewels. For me, the bolder, the better. Let's dive right in:

1. I love the tangled mix of metals and materials of this necklace.
2. Someday I'll own a Tiffany Key. Until that day, maybe this will suffice?
3. Oftentimes, I'll reach for a chunky, menswear watch to top off my typical outfit of a tee and skinny jeans.
4. Pocket watch necklace. Kind of Alice in Wonderland meets grandpa's heirloom (two things you never thought would be in the same sentence).
5. Sometimes all you need is a big rock. Earthy and pretty.
6. Rosaries look good alone or layered.
7. I'm a sucker for a snake cuff. Love them!

Back to school

Even though I'm officially done with school, I still love this time of year, and always have. Not so much the school part, but buying all new stuff? Oh yeah. I still get giddy at the idea of collegiate gear and new dorm essentials (thanks a lot, Target), even if I wouldn't have much use for them now. Here's what I would get if I was still hitting the books:
1. A simple varsity sweater to cover up in those chilly lecture halls [Gap]
2. A feminine version of the letterman's jacket [Urban Outfitters]
3. This messenger bag would let your tote all your stuff and look good doing it [Urban Outfitters]
4. A chunky, men's watch will get you to class on time [Urban Outfitters]
5. Nerd-chic glasses (just like the ones I wear full-time) [Urban Outfitters]
6. A colorful calendar to help you keep track of it all [Paper Source]
7. If you have to read the classics, at least make sure they look stylish [Anthropologie]
